North Wales is known for its mountains and being a haven for climbing and biking.

Golden sand beaches and a large number of access pontoons and slipways.

Within the Green Links area slipways can be found in Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Rhyl and Prestatyn.

£5 million North Wales Watersports Centre Development

Conwy Council have recently spent £5 million on the development of the Porth Eirias in Colwyn Bay.

This is part of a wider beach front and promenade development at Colwyn Bay to make the beach and promenade more accessible to all users.

The North Wales watersports centre offers rental and tuition as well as facilities for seasoned experts in a range of water sports including sailing, kayaking, wind surfing and power boating.

Rhyl Harbour Development

Work has been carried out to improve the facilities at Rhyl Harbour.

This will improve the experience for visitors both by the sea and land.

A new harbour wall has been constructed to add to the number and quality of berths available for resident and passing vessels.

A Harbour Cafe and bike shop has open providing facilities to the large number of walkers and cyclists visiting the harbour across the new bridge, Pont y Ddraig.

The only saltwater lake in Wales

Rhyl is still home to the only inland salt water lake which is perfect for North Wales warerpsorts such as dingy sailing, wake boarding, kayaking and water skiing.

Marine Lake also offers a nature trail and the oldest miniature railway in the UK for those not wanting to get their feet wet.
