Cycling & Cycle Routes in North Wales

If pedal power is more your thing, there are lots of opportunities to dust off the cycling helmet and explore some of the best cycling in North Wales.

The area between Llandudno and Prestatyn is a haven for all types of cycling and abilities.

From short circular routes at Marine Lake in Rhyl and the Abergele St George to Kinmel cycle route, to longer routes touring the nature reserves between Rhyl, Rhuddlan and Prestatyn.

Or, why not cycle the entire lenght of the Green Links area and take in the magnificent coastal views?

You can cycle large expanses of car free routes, enjoying stunning sea views and an area which is mostly flat between the interactive Green Links hubs.

The Wales Coast Path and North Wales Coastal Cycle Route  (National Cycle Route 5) run the whole length from Llandudno to Prestatyn and are well signposted.

You can travel one way by bike and get the train back again or look at our suggested rides for a range of circular routes to suit all abilities.

If you're looking for something with a fast pace then look no further than Rhyl with Marsh Tracks cycling centre of excellence and purpose built Olympic Standard BMX Track, closed road circuit and free mountain bike skills track.
