Things To Do in North Wales

Looking for some of the best Things To Do in North Wales?

Green Links is bringing together the walking, cycling and nature reserves along the North Wales coast between Llandudno and Prestatyn.

This area was chosen because of the huge range of things to do in North Wales from days in the outdoors, to museums, aquariums, cafes, shops and playgrounds.

Things To Do in Prestatyn

Prestatyn is the most eastern town in the Green Links area and there are many things to do there.

Prestatyn is on the footsteps of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with plenty of walks and cycle rides to enjoy this outstanding beauty.

The Prestatyn - Dyserth Way offers a car-free route enjoyed by walkers, cyclists, anglers, bird watchers as well as watersports enthusiasts and links three local nature reserves and countryside of Prestatyn Hillside, Bishops Wood and Coed y Morfa.

Prestatyn is also close to Gronant Dunes with the only little tern breeding colony in Wales returning from April until September.

Things To Do in Rhyl

Rhyl is fast becoming a centre of cycling excellence with lots to do on two wheels.

Visit Marsh Tracks for road, BMX and mountain biking trails.

Want things to be a little slower then why not stop off at the new Rhyl Harbour cafe and bike shop?

Marine Lake is always buzzing with water-skiers and the model railway and that's before we mention the things to do in the theatre, promenade and drift park.

Beach Days Are Best

Pensarn & Towyn are in the centre of the Green Links area.

These offer the best thing to do of all, enjoy a day at the beach.

Sand dunes, long golden sand beaches, calm waters and everything else you'd want.

Have a look at our things to do on the beach page for more information.

Colwyn Bay has had a face lift

You may have visited Colwyn Bay before but it's changed a bit.

The promenade and coast land has seen some new flood defences, but don't think rock armour and barriers instead a beautiful sandy beach has been created and an easy to access promenade with a wide walking and cycling path.

The area promises to be busy in the summer so it's a good job there are plenty of places to buy an ice cream.

Why not see the new seafront from the water?

Porth Eirias is a new water sports centre and offers plenty of things to do on the water.

Look at our Water sports page for more information.

Old Favourites

The Victorians loved Llandudno and it's easy to see why.

A beautiful sweeping bay with the iconic Great and Little Orme's on either side makes Llandudno a stunning location.

The Victorian elegance has been kept but there are now some more modern things to do in North Wales.

The Great Orme offers walks with nature and history including the Marine Drive Audio Trail and nature trails.

There is the longest cable car in the UK to the summit and a dry sky slope and toboggan run to give you that alpine feel.
