Llandudno Tourist Information

The UK’s iconic seaside resort!

Developed during the Victorian era as a popular seaside resort, Llandudno has developed with modern attractions whilst keeping its Victorian elegance.

Just walking along the promenade and looking at the elegant hotel fronts, the Great Orme and out to sea then you will be able to tell why this is Bill Bryson’s favourite seaside resort.

The iconic Great Orme

Llandudno and the Great Orme have been attracting adventurers, tourists and nature lovers for hundreds of years.

Why not take the oldest tram or the longest cable car in the UK to the summit.

Breath taking views of Snowdonia, Anglesey and back down into Llandudno it’s well worth the journey.

Feeling fit then why not one of the Great Orme’s summit walk trails which will take you from the low lying Llandudno to the heights of the Great Orme summit.

The Marine Drive Audio Trail is the best way to journey around the Marine Drive with its incredible views but easy access as it’s a road and pavement all the way around.

Modern attractions with Victorian charm

Llandudno may well have its routes in Victorian elegance but it’s definitely kept up with the times.

You can ski on a award winning dry ski slope nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Orme.

Why not win the new modern art gallery Mostyn in the centre of town or visit the latest shopping centre.

Venue Cymru has been based on Llandudno’s promenade now for a while and attracted some of the country’s best acts and theatre performances from Derren Brown to the Nutcracker.

Journey on

Llandudno is the most Westerly point of the Green Links area.

This is the perfect place to start your journey.

You can walk the Wales Coast Path or North Wales Path east to visit the other towns and nature reserves here.

Otherwise why not take you bicycle along the coast cycle paths; you can always get the train back to Llandudno easily.
